Hello world!
In an attempt to group all my technical and semi-technical posts at one place, I have replicated the relevant posts from my older blog to here. Also from now on, all my technical posts will be posted over here and only here !!
To maintain a smooth transition, I have imported the older posts with the older dates itself and of-course ‘yes’ with all your comments preserved :). The game is on !!
Hey dude….. r u going to continue ur writing here?? Or is it only technical-stuff here and the others there in blogspot???
I’ll post all my technical posts here da. Non-technical and fun stuff at blogspot. So I’m hoping both to remain alive π
Any specific reason for choosing wordpress?
@Srini,
Good choice of categorizing your weblogs. That provides a sharp and straight access to content for your readers who are searching for them. WordPress has some good advanteges like Akismet Spam Catch.
A small correction to this line.
“I have moved the relevant posts from my older blog to here”
I would recommend the following text an an action conforming to it, since it would avoid deadlinks.
“I have replicated the relevant posts from my classic blog to the newer ‘Hello World'”.
Forgot to mention in my earlier response … “Atleast keep blogging regularly in this” π
I came across http://wordpress.com/features/ and i just thinking about creating an account there now π
Vadivel,
Sure, I would like to blog here regularly though not as regular as you π
Before I could say why I chose WordPress, you seem to have got the answers. Seriously, most of their features are awesome.
And for my story, I landed here by accident. Having read some wordpress blogs for sometime I logged to see if i could get one on my name and it clicked π I played around with it for half-an-hour and found it very very interesting for the vast amount of features and super-cool User Interface. I tried to import my blogger posts and the transition was smooth like a butter.
The Categories, Tags and Pages concept are really impressive and fun to work with. This looks like the place which by itself invite people to visit your blog. And within days we publish our post, Google crawls it. WordPress seems to have an edge over Blogspot in its integration with Search Engines. I tried one and the results were obvious. And out of the box, WordPress has facilities to display which ‘search-terms’ gave us results. Check it out Vadivel, you’ll sure love it.
Deepak,
Thanks for your feedback. I have made changes as per your suggestions π
